the pathetic people of earth

in heaven, 
angels float among clouds,
and watch over
the 'pathetic' people of earth.

happy girls that only
care about boys;
men that only care
about lifting weights;

politicians, prime ministers,
kings, queens,
all watched
and taken care of

by angels from heaven.
but who ever said
that all angels
were happy with their jobs?

who ever said
that all angels
were glad to be in heaven?

some of the best
of them
stay away from the others.

some are miserable,
watching over humans - 
humans that are
God's favourite
out of all creatures,
even more than the angels.

and some of these
heavenly hosts only
wish to be one
of these special creations.

they know they have 
a place in heaven
so they do not
ask to leave.

so they wait,
in heaven,
praying.
