sasurai (wanderer)

i just want to walk
alone;
through the sands,
over the mountain,
to an endless goal.
will I ever achieve?
sometimes I feel so 
empty.

i left that day, 
wanting to be set free,
longing for the golden sun.
i dropped behind
everything that i was
just so that i might
catch up to you
but, you ran away,
and, i fell behind.

wandering, trailing you,
through the sands,
sun to my back,
to an endless goal 
maybe if i run
i'll find you
waiting.

i have become
the wanderer,
trailing shadows for you;
i'll just walk
until i find something,
but then what am i 
to do next?

i'm the wanderer,
i can't give that up.
ever.
